Comscient Group is the hub for a multi-disciplinary group of independent marketing technology and marketing professionals, experts, problem solvers, thought leaders, and consultants specializing in social media, collaboration, mobile, CRM, digital marketing, and decision support. I have worked in social media, collaboration, CRM, knowledge management, and decision support systems for over two decades. In the 1980s I was an affiliate of the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) working on early knowledge management, and social media and collaboration projects. I was the software systems and decision support systems consultant on the team that invented the ground breaking SIV (Structured Investment Vehicle) financial instrument in 1988. I have been a technology industry specialist, a technology analyst/researcher and consultant to the consultants (McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Accenture, EDS, Sophron Partners etc), advised media, marketing, events, and publishing organizations about new and emerging technologies, and has been involved in CRM implementations and consulting since the 1980s to the present. Prior to founding Comscient Group, I was a co-founder and Director of London based INFACT Research, a European Financial Technology and CRM industry analyst firm. INFACT Research provided technology industry and market research, and strategic and tactical advice to financial institutions, media companies, marketing services firms, top tier global management consulting firms, systems integrators, high tech businesses, software vendors, and venture capital and private equity firms. My passion is the role of new technologies and new media, especially social and mobile and CRM, to transform the relationship and conversations between brands and customers, and between technologists, marketers, and business. I am a problem solver and systems thinker able to see the big picture and the interconnections within while being able to identify leverage points to create and implement game changing systems, marketing, and business model innovations. I have maintained a deep interest in decision making technologies and decision making neuroscience which I incorporate into my client work.
