Mr. John V. W. Reynders leverages 17 years of professional experience toward his current role as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Pharmaceutical R&D division of Johnson & Johnson. Under John Reynders’ leadership, numerous IT teams efficiently deploy complex R&D IT and Informatics solutions in multiple research facilities across the globe to support clinical operations, discovery research, electronic regulatory submissions, translational science, and epidemiology. In this capacity, John Reynders oversees one of the largest and most complex Informatics Technology organizations across the Johnson & Johnson family of companies. Over the course of his professional career, John Reynders combined his leadership skills and extensive knowledge to lead information operations in a number of companies. Most recently, John Reynders served as an Information Officer for Eli Lilly and Company. John Reynders also worked as Vice President of Informatics for Celera Genomics and as Director of the Advanced Computing Laboratory for Los Alamos National Laboratory. John Reynders received his PhD from Princeton University, where he studied Applied and Computational Mathematics. An Office of Naval Research Fellow and recipient of the Ray Grimm Memorial Prize for Computational Physics, John Reynders consistently demonstrated the discipline and dedication that would become a hallmark of his professional career. John Reynders also attended Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, where he earned his MBA, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he graduated summa cum laude with his BS. Over his career John Reynders has maintained professional affiliations with organizations as diverse as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the American Physical Society (APS). In his limited spare time, John Reynders enjoys spending time with family and actively participating in his church. John Reynders is also a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. Mr. John Reynders lives in Newton, Massachusetts.
