Currently serving as a Project Executive for Cobalt Construction Company, John W. Archibald possesses 33 years of experience in the real estate development operations management field, much of it in senior-level executive capacities. Taking a position with Assistant Superintendent with Beverly Hills-based Casden Properties LLC in 1978, Mr. Archibald supervised housing construction throughout Southern California. After six years, he was promoted to a position with corporate as Senior Purchasing Agent, managing the contracting details of Casden Properties’ apartment projects. During his initial 12 years with the firm, John W. Archibald worked on 800 units of rolling rehabilitation, 1,000 homes, and 5,000 apartment units, spanning all stages of completion. In 1990, Mr. Archibald left Casden Properties to accept a position with Larwin Company as Director of Construction Operations, managing a team of on-site workers, architects, purchasing employees, and consultants. Interfacing with all corporate departments, Mr. Archibald sought out valuable original ideas that could improve company operations. During his 4 years with the firm, he oversaw the completion of 7 model complexes and 1,500 residences.

In 1992, John W. Archibald also established his own firm, ArchWay Builders, Inc., for which he still serves as President. His duties over the years have included new home construction, whole-house remodeling, and commercial and light industrial projects. In addition to contract administration, he performs governmental processing work and drafts construction documents. Mr. Archibald rejoined Casden Properties in 1998, taking a position as Senior Vice President of Construction Operations that lasted 13 years. During this time, Mr. Archibald created and led management and construction teams that delivered several thousand apartment units, as well as more than 1,000 units of rolling rehabilitation. Operational aspects of Casden Properties that Mr. Archibald oversaw included risk management, architectural planning, engineering, construction, and contract administration.

A supporter of the United Way, John W. Archibald has long worked with special needs children in volunteer capacities. He earned his B.A. from Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, obtaining Bachelor’s degrees in History and Political Science, and a secondary Education Certificate in Teaching. Mr. Archibald enjoys a variety of outdoor activities in his free time, including scuba diving, hiking, cycling, and triathlons.
