Jonathan's Status Updates
Jonathan Hartley is an undergraduate at the University of Chicago, majoring in economics while maintaining a focus in several other academic disciplines. He has been a researcher at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago publishing academic work with economists, notably on the radical differences in the savings of Americans with and without health insurance. Jonathan is also the current president of Chicago Society, a student organization that recruits high-profile speakers to the University issue to address critical issues, most recently the American health care reform. Occasionally he writes opinion-editorial pieces, some which have appeared in the Wall Street Journal and in the New York Times Magazine Blog.
