Building his marketing talents, Jonathan Z. Rubin found success in many industries beginning with restaurants. His initial experience set off a several decade long career where Rubin accumulated most of his fortune in the hotel industry. All of this was parlayed into a stint in real estate.

Early in his professional life, Rubin was contracted to work with the fine-dining restaurant, the Rainbow Room. Assisting with the marketing for the popular place located on the top floor of the 30 Rockefeller Plaza building in New York garnered much attention for Rubin. During this time, Rubin worked to get his name out and build an invaluable list of contacts.

When Jonathan Z. Rubin joined the hotel industry, he did so with a splash. First, he offered new concepts such as boutique and specialty hotels. Rubin imagined facilities made up of more inviting suites, as opposed to standard, typical rooms. He also visualized hotels aimed toward business professionals, specifically those who frequently traveled. Eventually Rubin put each of these ideas into fruition.

A Mensa International Limited member, Jonathan Z. Rubin has held various roles with hotels. In addition to marketing, he has led as Senior Vice President of a hotel management company and President of an all-suite chain, the first of its kind anywhere in the world. Most notable, Rubin has owned up to 20 hotels at a given time, from Colorado to the mid-Atlantic.

Rubin attributes much of his success to the values and principles he’s employed, which were passed down to him from his father and grandfather. Rubin’s grandfather catapulted from having nothing to operating eight restaurants after immigrating to the US from Russia. Today, Jonathan Z. Rubin blazes a similar path, achieving success based on hard work and integrity.
