A scholar as well as an experienced legal and government professional, Jone Bosworth brings vast and necessary change to programs and organizations nationwide. With a B.A. in English from the University of Nebraska, Jone Bosworth spent several years teaching speech and debate at the Tokyo Foreign Language College in Japan. Jone Bosworth returned to the University of Nebraska to study at the College of Law in 1994. Participating in a myriad of activities as a law student, Jone Bosworth worked as Copy Editor and Staff Writer for the Nebraska Transcript from 1994 to 1997. Jone Bosworth also co-coordinated the Community Legal Education Project, served on the Moot Court Board, and was Psycho-Social and Legal Research Assistant (Juvenile and Dependency Law) for the University of Nebraska Center on Children, Families, and the Law. A recipient of several honors while in law school, Jone Bosworth won the CALI Awards for Legal Excellence in International Human Rights Law (1997) and Alternative Dispute Resolution (1996), Best Oralist Award in the U.S.A. regional finals of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and a grant from the Clerkships in the Public Interest for an immigration law project. Jone Bosworth has earned publication in the Adelphia Law Journal and served as volunteer moot court and client counseling judge at the University of Nebraska College of Law. In addition to her more than 10 years’ work with state governments, Jone Bosworth has been a regional nonprofit domestic violence coordinator in Nebraska and a public speaker at the Yale University Stewards of Change Conference and ACF National State and Territories Conference. She was also involved in President Barack Obama’s 2008 Children’s Policy Committee. Jone Bosworth is a past member of the American Public Human Services Association and has served on the Executive Committee of the National Association for Public Child Welfare Administrators. Jone Bosworth participates in various charities and community service organizations. A past board member of Thrive by Five Washington, the Early Learning Advisory Council, and Americorps St. Louis, Jone Bosworth extends her leadership capacities beyond her professional positions. Charities that have benefited from Jone Bosworth’s contributions over the years include CASA, the Lupus Foundation, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and Christ the King School in Omaha, Nebraska.
