Much of his music is inspired by the sounds of nature, but not just animals and trees – also the nature of humans and concrete. He’s lived in big and little cities, where the noise and emotion rubs off and makes a mark on his creation. He doesn’t particularly enjoy singing, though. He’s mainly a keyboardist and enjoys finding friends and other musicians to guest star on songs through vocals and other instrumentation.

Working with underprivileged people around the world has really opened his eyes to what is important and how peace might be achieved. The recent elections are incredibly stimulating, because it will be the first time in his generation when things could change in a very big way. He’s a democrat and liberal, but very open to free thinking and bipartisan legislation.

Joseph lives outside Las Vegas, which is a sort of strange place to end up, but beyond the city it’s really pretty amazing. The desolation of the desert is really stimulating. It’s also always warm and bodies never require gloves or socks. A major plus.
