Drimmer

Josh Drimmer, a 2003 graduate of Yale University, is an emerging playwright.

Brooklyn, New York

Josh Drimmer is a man of many talents. A playwright, comedian, and producer, Drimmer is emerging on the scene as a truly talented, multi-faceted artist. What may be most surprising is the amount of work under his belt at such a young age. A 2003 graduate of Yale University, Josh Drimmer has accomplished much and produced a high volume of works that place him on track to rival the efforts of his older colleagues. Having been out of college for less than ten years, Drimmer still considers some of his coursework to be influential in his work today, most notably, the Advanced Fiction Writing course with Robert Stone and his experience as the Senior Editor of the Yale Herald in his last year at the university. Upon graduating from Yale, Josh Drimmer decided to pursue his true passion – writing and producing plays. Notable works to date include Falling, Puncher’s Chance, For You, Love Is Good, Waiting for the N, Rejected Showgirl, 5-3, and Abigail and Anthony. He has participated in the Feed the Herd Theatre Company, Inc.’s Stampede Fest in New York City in February 2005, and in June 2005 he participated in the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab. He has worked with a variety of directors, and enjoys seeing his work come to life on the stage. Josh Drimmer’s talents extend beyond playwriting. He has had a successful run in comedy, performing stand-up routines in 2006 at Theater Offendia at the Sage Theater in New York City. Josh Drimmer has also been a Repertory Writer and Performer on Saturday Night Rewritten, a weekly sketch comedy show at Juvie Hall.
