Israeli entrepreneur Joshua Levinberg co-founded JAL Ventures with his brother, Amiram in 2003. The private company, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, invests in and offers management advice to many companies in the,wireless, telecommunications, internet and other industries.

Business Investments

Matan Digital Printers has benefited from JAL Ventures investments and Joshua Levinberg is one if its Board of Directors. The company creates innovative digital printers and presses that use envi-ronmentally friendly UV-curable inkjet and Thermal Transfer technologies.

Agropeace Bio Ltd., which Joshua also invested in via JAL Ventures, is involved in the bio-diesel industry and provides castor seeds grown in Africa. Once the oil has been extracted from the seeds, it has many commercial uses. Joshua Levinberg was one of the co-founders of Agropeace Bio and served as its Chairman of the Board.

Levinberg is also on the Board of Directors at Vanadium Software, which develops information technology products that give IT organizations the ability to carefully monitor adherence to IT company policy.

Additionally, JAL Ventures has invested in CI Industries, Kasamba, Capital Point, DenTack, GoNetworks, Xsight Systems, and ERAYO.

Additional Business Activities

Joshua Levinberg is one of the original founders of Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd, and has served the company in many capacities including Vice President of Marketing and Business Development and General Manager and Executive VP of the US subsidiary. In 2005 he took over the position of Ex-ecutive VP of Corporate Business Development and Strategy. Gilat Satellite Networks develops digital satellite communications solutions.

Joshua Levinberg also served as VP of Marketing at G.E. Spacenet, Inc., a subsidiary of Gilat. He founded the successful company Global Village Telecom and from 1998-1999 served as its CEO. Levinberg also co-founded Satlynx S.A. which was later acquired by GE, and was its first Chairman of the Board.

Personal History

Joshua was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1953. He studied at the Tel Aviv University, where he earned a B.Sc degree in electronics and electrical engineering.
