As Senior Account Planner for Martin/Williams Advertising from 1994 to 2001, Julie Monson held wide-ranging strategic planning and marketing research responsibilities. Monson spearheaded strategic planning for new business pitches, supported the development of complex advertising plans, repositioned brands in the marketplace, and conducted comprehensive research projects covering the full spectrum of marketing and advertising. From 1987 to 1994, Julie Monson worked as a Marketing Research Manager for Land O’Lakes, focusing her time and energy on the Dairy Foods department. Monson oversaw strategic research to introduce the the first light butter sold in the U.S., developing and refining multi-tiered advertising campaigns. Due to Monson’s valuable research and positioning on existing brands, Land O’Lakes saved $500,000 per year and increased annual sales by $14 million. Earning her stripes at Mid-Continent Research, Julie Monson spent four years as Project Director in the Marketing Research and Consulting division. Monson worked directly with clients, contributing research and analysis to guide businesses to a more productive future. With an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, Julie Monson immediately entered the fast-paced world of marketing, advertising, and branding. Julie Monson received a B.S. in Business from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and studied Economics as an undergraduate at Gustavus Adolphus College.
