Attorney Kara Paldino currently serves as Senior Counsel, Legal Affairs for NBC Universal in Miami. She started with the company in 2006 as Counsel, Legal Affairs in New York. Working for NBC Universal allows Kara Paldino to be involved in many aspects of television production and entertainment law. As a production attorney for Bravo, advises on legal matters dealing with such issues as intellectual property, defamation, privacy, insurance, and regulatory issues. She reviews programming ideas, and she drafts contracts between NBC Universal and talent, production companies, integration and tradeout partners.

Prior to her employment with NBC Universal, Kara Paldino was as an Associate at Davis & Gilbert LLP in the firm’s Entertainment, Media and Publishing Group; Advertising, Marketing, and Promotions Group; Intellectual Property Group; and New Media Group from 2004 until 2006. Before taking this position, Kara Paldino worked with New York-based law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as an Associate in their Trade Practices & Regulatory Law Department.

Kara Paldino earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2001, where she was a member of the Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Society and Senior Note Editor for the New York University Annual Survey of American Law. Kara Paldino graduated from Dartmouth College in 1998 cum laude with a B.A. in History, modified with Film Studies.
