Karl Lingenfelder is revolutionizing the real estate industry by merging it with the global networking capabilities of the internet. As the President, CEO, and founder of viewr.com, Mr. Lingenfelder is taking hold of the reins on the world’s first global real estate community that connects properties, agents and the general public. Lingenfelder has discovered a way to unify web 2.0 with the real estate industry. Mr. Lingenfelder created Viewr with a bold goal: to create a fusion global tool that can be used to explore real estate all over the world. Viewr allows any user at any world location to connect with global real estate markets, effectively negating the geographic and cultural borders that once stood in the way of real estate connections. The barriers crossed by Viewr are where the revolution lies. Instead of having to travel to a property to discuss it and deal with brokers, Viewr allows users to instantly see the properties and connect with agents from any location. Lingenfelder’s brainchild even allows agents to post real-time blogs updating users on recent real estate developments and industry movement. After studying political science and business at the University of California, Berkeley, and graduating in 1971, Lingenfelder made his mark in the real estate world when he founded the Maui Real Estate Company. This company broke technology boundaries in Hawaii, becoming one of the first real estate companies to operate on the web in Hawaii and Maui. The innovation Karl Lingenfelder used to bring Viewr to life was first seen in his efforts with Maui Real Estate Company, which become a regional leader in usability and functionality for web users. Lingenfelder’s early understanding of the importance of a strong web presence in the real estate industry helped pave the way for similar online real estate companies to sprout, but the world hasn’t seen anything like Viewr before. In his spare time, Karl enjoys racquetball, wine tasting, cruises, traveling and fitness training. Lingenfelder supports the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Humane Society; in the past he also contributed to the Maui AIDS Foundation and the Maui Humane Society.
