Katherine Weir is a Senior Associate at WilmerHale and has been with the firm since 2006. Broadly focusing her practice on general corporate and securities law matters for both private and public company clients, Katherine Weir also specializes in mergers and acquisitions, having represented public and private company clients in both acquisitions and dispositions. Ms. Weir has also represented private companies and investors in venture capital financing transactions and public companies in public securities offerings. Katherine Weir is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Boston Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in both New York State and Massachusetts. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Katherine Weir was an Associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. Ms. Weir also garnered experience during law school as a law clerk at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD). Ms. Weir holds a Juris Doctor from Cornell University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and American Civilization from Brown University. Passionate about helping others, Katherine Weir is highly active within numerous community endeavors. Among the organizations that Ms. Weir has been involved with are the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, inMotion, and the Gay Men’s Domestic Violence Project. Ms. Weir also supports various other nonprofit organizations, including the Human Rights Campaign, Greater Boston Legal Services, and GLAD. Katherine Weir currently resides in Jamaica Plan, Massachusetts. Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Weir enjoys road biking, cooking, traveling and studying French.
