Artist, writer, and professional library consultantLexington, KentuckyArtist, writer, and professional library consultant Kathleen Imhoff shows great talent in all of her endeavors. Throughout her more than 30 year career in the library industry, Kathleen Imhoff held multiple executive positions, including the Assistant Director job in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she guided the ninth-largest public library system in the nation and served a vast number of patrons. As a photographer and creator of book cover collages, Kathleen Imhoff has received numerous awards and honorable mentions for her art work. One of these honors included first place for a monoprint in an Alabama statewide art competition. Her photography was selected Best of Show by the Broward County ArtServe organization. As a writer, Kathleen Imhoff has been published in multiple professional trade and international library journals. She authored the book, Making the Most of New Technology, as well as co-authoring the book, Library Contests. She formerly maintained a recurring column in the professional journal, Public Libraries. Residing in Lexington, Kentucky, Kathleen Imhoff currently functions as a library consultant, offering advice regarding library building planning, interior design, and marketing to public library systems. In the past, Ms. Imhoff worked as a Director for public library systems in Georgia, Alabama, and Kentucky. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for Online Computer Library Center, Inc., a nonprofit, membership-based computer library service and research organization that serves more than 72,000 libraries in 170 countries. Previously, she was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Kentucky, Syracuse University, the University of South Florida, the University of Alabama, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
