Dr. Kathleen McCombs, a successful periodontist located in Draper, Utah, has won the respect of patients and colleagues alike for her dedication to total patient care before, during, and after treatment. David Gibson, a former patient, speaks about his experiences with Dr. Kathleen McCombs.
Interviewer: How long have you been a patient of Dr. Kathleen McCombs?
DG: About two and a half months.
Interviewer: What have you seen her for?
DG: Periodontal surgery, specifically acellular gum graft transplant surgery to address lower gum recession throughout the lower jaw line, both inner and outer.
Interviewer: How were her services?
DG: Fabulous, I felt comfortable with her right away. She has a very calm and mellow, somewhat understated professional demeanor. That kind of calm [manner], chair-side, is good. I went in there somewhat nervous and apprehensive and she put me at ease right away. Low key, very even tone. Although she looks much younger than she is, she sounds older. She has the sound and the vibe of a very deeply experienced and level-headed person; very objective and very thoroughly professional.
Interviewer: How was the overall experience?
DG: For as technical as the field is, it [the surgical experience] was much less invasively traumatic, less painful, and overall less intimidating than I expected.
Interviewer: How are the facilities?
DG: Very small, kind of a cozy, cubby place. More of a smaller, quaint, intimate area. Not a big corporate medical facility environment, more of a neighborhood-type environment right there in a residential area, as opposed to an intimidating glass box. Not intimidating at all, more like a comfortable neighborhood environment.
Interviewer: How was the support staff?
DG: Some of the younger ones, in a word: funny. Good sense of humor, they’re like busy little bees and all-around pleasant. They’re right on top of it; they’re really good.
Interviewer: Would you recommend Dr. Kathleen McCombs to family and friends?
DG: I would.
