Kathryn (Kate)

Kate is based in the United States and manages the International Healthy Start to Life Project in conjunction with Prof Sir Peter Gluckman at the Liggins Institute, University of Auckland.

Kate was a Gates Cambridge Scholar at the University of Cambridge where she completed her Ph.D. in Perinatal Physiology, studying various types of stress during pregnancy and the long term outcomes as related to glucose metabolism with implications for chronic disease. She completed her B.S. in biological sciences at Cornell University where she was a Presidential Research Scholar, a member of the Varsity Rowing team, and active on the Class of 2001 Council and within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
