Kelsey Stelting is a Lawrence, Kansas resident with a commitment to scholasticism and public health. An undergraduate biology student at the University of Kansas (KU), Ms. Stelting is enrolled in the pre-nursing program. Kelsey Stelting has already earned certification as a nurse’s aide from the Texas Health School, and she currently maintains a 3.7 GPA in her studies at KU. Her outstanding academic achievements have earned Kelsey a position on the Leadership Council at the University of Kansas, as well as on the Dean’s List. Ms. Stelting maintains a balanced life by giving back to her community through various endeavors. Kelsey Stelting has given her time to the local Lawrence Memorial Hospital for the past two years, and she has served at the Imagination Library for the last six. Taking an active role in changing people’s physical spaces for the better, Kelsey Stelting has volunteered to build homes with Habitat for Humanity while acting as a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America programs. Kelsey Stelting is socially active in the University of Kansas chapter of Gamma Phi Beta, and she is a proud member of the FLARE Dance Team. FLARE, based out of Lawrence, Kansas, competes in dance competitions around the country, most recently at the 2009 National Dance Association competition in Dallas, Texas. FLARE impressed the judges in Dallas, taking 5th Place in the Hip-Hop category and 3rd in Jazz.
