A well-respected translation professional, Kevin Hendzel began his career as a technical translator with the Presidential Hotline between Moscow and Washington. Having translated thousands of articles and dozens of books, including groundbreaking work on biomedical optoacoustics, over his long career, Kevin Hendzel was selected as the National Media Spokesman for the American Translators Association in 2000. The former COO of ASET International Services Corporation, Kevin Hendzel oversaw the company’s acquisition by COMSYS IT Partners, Inc. in 2008. Remaining with the newly rebranded ASET Process Solutions, Kevin Hendzel received the opportunity to exercise his skill in business leadership and currently spearheads the company’s rapid expansion as Managing Director. Kevin Hendzel began as a Senior Russian Linguist and Translator with ASET in 1992; since then, he has acquired comprehensive knowledge of both the company’s operations and international translation and interpretation markets. Kevin Hendzel is an alumnus of Georgetown University School of Foreign Service; he also completed studies in Russian Language Translation at St. Petersburg State University in Russia.

Work on strategic vision for media outreach; report media activities to the ATA membership, support the ATA Board and the Executive Committee in all areas of media relations. Responsible for accurately representing the views, positions, policies and history of ATA, the ATA Board and the membership to local, national and international media outlets through on-air interviews, background briefings or press conferences. Promote translation and interpreting as critical to international commerce, diplomacy, trade, national security and culture.
