Kevin Sola combines his passion for automobiles and civil service as an Automotive Facilities Inspector for the state of New York. Since 1997, Kevin Sola has enforced environmental regulations throughout New York, conducting routine audits on repair shops, car dealers, and emission and safety inspection facilities. In addition to his regular audits, Kevin Sola also responds to consumer complaints, investigating and shutting down any businesses that defraud or otherwise cheat inspections or fail to pay penalties. To complement his working experience, Kevin Sola holds a certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Prior to his position with the state of New York, Kevin Sola graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Queens College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Law. Before entering SUNY Queens College, Kevin Sola garnered the merit-based Regents Scholarship for his academic success in high school. Kevin Sola’s interest in cars extends past his professional expertise. In his free time, Kevin Sola enjoys automotive racing and currently holds membership in the National Association of Sport Automobiles (NASA) and the Connecticut Subaru Car Club (CTSUBIE). In addition to automobile racing, Kevin Sola enjoys mountain biking and cycling. Kevin Sola pursues his passion as a member of several local teams. Kevin Sola rides mountain bikes with the National Off-Road Bicycle Association (NORBA), road bikes with Bike New York Cycle Club, and a variety of bikes with the all-cycle Pawling Cycle and Sport. Kevin Sola often rides with his son Kevin as a teammate; in 2006, both Kevin Sola and his son were profiled by the Pawling Cycle and Sport newsletter for their contributions as members. In addition to cycling and auto racing, Kevin Sola enjoys volunteering with the Our Lady of Solace food bank in Brooklyn. Kevin Sola also supports the American Lung Association and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
