As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Khalid Zirvi works primarily with techniques that involve mechanically widening blood vessels. Dr. Zirvi employs a balloon catheter to compress plaque within a clogged artery or prepare for insertion of a stent. A specialist in both coronary and peripheral angioplasties, Dr. Khalid Zirvi treats atherosclerosis, peripheral artery disease, and other vascular conditions throughout the body.

Dr. Khalid Zirvi received his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Pennsylvania (MCP) Hahnemann School of Medicine((Drexel University). Subsequently, He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, part of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and received advanced training in interventional cardiology at the Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. He has appeared on the radio show Health Matters, discussing cardiovascular health.
