Kira Volpi has developed her own business from the ground up, and is now eager to apply her business savvy to help others. After working as a VP of Sales and Marketing for another company, Volpi started her own wholesale distribution company that provided designer fashions and skin care to chain-store retailers. Then on to develp The Global Matrix Group brokering sales of designer cosmetics, skin care, and bath products. As CEO, Volpi oversees all operations for the company, including marketing and producing presentation to sell products to vendors all over the world. The notable achievements for Volpi is in the rate of growth. Volpi started her first company out of her house, and within the first year, the business sold over 1.4 million. The company developed retail chain relationships with over 20 different retail chain buyers. From her home, the company moved into its first 3000 square foot facility within 12 months. This success is not new for Volpi. As VP of Sales and Marketing with Utopia Distributors, Volpi was able to nearly quadruple the company’s earnings within three years. Volpi helped them get the honor of Dun & Bradstreet’s Hottest 100 companies #16 and #13 in 1998 and 1999, respectively. Volpi’s ambitious spirit has made this company so successful, and that is why she is confident in helping others. With her new company Global Matrix Group adding to her impressive resume, Volpi offers services free of charge to young, female entrepreneurs. Volpi gives advice to these businesswomen, offering guidance with starting a corporation, setting up bank accounts, acquiring loans, getting merchant accounts, and developing relationships with fellow entrepreneurs. When Volpi is not working directly on the daily duties with the Global Matrix Group, she is traveling all over the world, making connections and developing relationships to build her business. She Contacted Vendors and Supplier both nationally and internationally to source for designer products to purchase. Volpi Marketed and produced presentation to sell the products. She participated in operations such as shipping and receiving. She coordinated pick up with shipping companies, oversaw picking and packing of products. Volpi completed data entry such as daily entries into AS400 for purchase orders, Sales, Pick & Packing Order, shipping followup. Volpi assisted in charge of staff recruitment.
