Kirt Vink is the founder and proprietor of KC Security. Vink founded KC Security in April of 2008, following the completion of his master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati. KC Security specializes in travel protection for executive, management and VIP’s, as well as domestic security and homeland security for industrial plants, companies and businesses of all sizes.

Prior to receiving his master’s degree, Kirt Vink worked for various police agencies in Michigan for 33 years as a detective and police chief. A decorated officer who has been the recipient of numerous letters of commendation and distinguished service awards, Mr. Vink received hundreds of hours of specialized law enforcement training, much of which is still directly applicable towards his work at KC Security. Kirt Vink has taken classes in everything from homeland security to bio-terrorism prevention, emergency planning, Reid Interview and Interrogation, Federal Emergency Management, National Incident Management, hazmat and biohazard safety, emergency planning, decision making and problem solving, national response plan, security and forensic classes.

In addition to his work as a police officer, Kirt Vink has also worked in the field of security. He also worked in building while attending college so he is familiar with infrastructure and structural design.

When Kirt Vink is not directly working towards building KC Security, he devotes much of his free time towards the pursuit of his PhD in business with an emphasis in public administration. Mr. Vink believes that the receipt of this degree will not only enhance his already impressive qualifications, but better prepare him to lead KC Security. In his free time, Mr. Vink enjoys reading, motorcycling, photography, raising American Alpine and Nubian goats, and the fine art of breeding and grooming Standard Poodles.

After Kirt Vink graduates and receives his advanced degree and earns the title of doctor, Mr. Vink plans to author several books (time permitting) on government, public administration, security, the prevention of terrorism, police issues, and his life experiences.
