In the past, Kjell Adstedt has made many contributions to the wine community. The founder of Wine Track, LLC, Kjell Adstedt provided a comprehensive information technology solution for wine distributors that combined radio-frequency identification (RFID) with a global database. With 25 years of global managerial experience, Kjell Adstedt has also spent 10 years handling the import and distribution of wines and other fine spirits as Managing Partner at CLLC and the President of All Saints’ Brands, Inc. Concurrent to his role at Grand Cru Express, Kjell Adstedt works as a Management Consultant for MR Investment Partners, a private equity firm with more than six decades of combined business and investment experience. Kjell Adstedt’s focus within the firm is on the development of superior management teams that will back high-growth investments in the technology industry. With over a decade of managerial experience, Kjell Adstedt has work in a number of fields outside of the wine and spirits industry, including the manufacturing of windsurfing boards, commercial kitchen appliances, and plastic fasteners. Kjell Adstedt also has extensive experience as a Management Consultant. At Egon Zehnder International, Kjell Adstedt worked as a Management Consultant in the fields of executive search and management appraisal for four years before focusing on new market sales and marketing for two years with Adstedt Johnson International, Inc. Kjell Adstedt holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Lund in Sweden. In addition to English, Kjell Adstedt is fluent in Swedish, French, German, and Danish.

Ladera Vineyard, Kjell Adstedt

With two vineyards on opposite sides of California’s Napa Valley, Ladera has become one of the most prominent wineries in the area. Ladera’s two locations, the Lone Canyon Vineyard and the Howell Mountain property, possess drastically different terrains, empowering it to produce unique wine blends unlike those offered by any other vineyard. Dating back to 1877, Ladera continues to use its traditional winemaking process. Gathering grapes only in the morning, Ladera delivers them to the winery cool and intact. After the grapes are sorted and destemmed, they are crushed and fed into fermentation tanks without using must pumps, relying instead on the time-tested gravity method. Ladera uses a wide range of different fermentation tanks, each of which was specially engineered for the vineyard’s different wines. The existing Ladera winery, which dates back to 1886, is consistently renovated according to the newest standards in the industry, reflecting on the name’s commitment to delivering the best possible product. Ladera focuses on its signature Cabernets and also produces many other high quality red wines, including Merlots, and Malbecs. In addition, Ladera sells a few white wines, such as its 2009 Sauvignon Blanc, which is fermented completely from Howell Mountain grapes. Ladera’s wines are crafted by the talented Karen Culler and her assistant, Trester Goetting. Ladera Vineyards is one of Grand Cru Express’ Winery Partners, making its range of Napa Valley wines available directly to Mr. Kjell Adstedt’s customers. Through Grand Cru Express, wine collectors and aficionados around the world are able to enjoy Ladera’s incredible Cabernets and other unique offerings.
