Throughout her life and career as a pediatric urologist, surgeon, and researcher, Dr. Kristin Kozakowski has maintained involvement in a variety of academic, professional, and personal endeavors, attaining a high degree of accomplishment in each of her pursuits. At present, Dr. Kozakowski assists patients at a private group practice in pediatric urology in Miami, Florida.

A National Merit Scholar, Dr. Kristin Kozakowski enrolled at Georgetown University in 1995. She stood out for her work as a philosophy major. Elected to Alpha Sigma Nu and the Phi Beta Kappa Society, Dr. Kristin Kozakowski received Georgetown’s Philosophy Medal of Honor before graduating summa cum laude in 1999. In the same year, Dr. Kozakowski appeared as a featured Citizen Panelist on ABC’s Politically Incorrect. She began her medical studies at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Between 1999 and 2003, Dr. Kristin Kozakowski participated in various extracurricular activities at Columbia, including roles as Class President, President of the Ethics Club, Student Success Network tutor, and member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee. After graduating from Columbia, Dr. Kristin Kozakowski remained with her alma mater to fulfill clinical rotations as an intern and resident. Over the next five years, Dr. Kristin Kozakowski completed a general surgery internship and residency in urology at Columbia University Medical Center and Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian. During this time, she ascended to the rank of Chief Resident in the J. Bentley Squier Urologic Clinic and contributed to a chapter in the Handbook of Urologic Cryoabulation. Additionally, she presented her findings at several medical conferences nationwide.

At the end of this period, Dr. Kristin Kozakowski relocated to Toronto for a two-year clinical and research fellowship in pediatric urology at the Hospital for Sick Children, where she trained under Dr. Joao Pippi Salle. Since then, Dr. Kozakowski has published additional book chapters in Pediatric Urology, Conn’s Current Therapy 2010, and Laparoscopic Reconstructive Urology. She has also contributed articles to peer-reviewed scholarly periodicals such as the Journal of Endourology, the Journal of Pediatric Urology, and the Journal of Urology. Moreover, she has presented at numerous medical conferences, including those of the American Urological Association and the World Congress of Pediatric Urology. She is a member of the American Urological Association.
