Attorney Kurt Mausert is the Founder and sole practitioner of Kurt Mausert, Attorney at Law. Mausert’s private practice is located in Saratoga Springs, New York, where he serves clients across the greater New York region. Mr. Mausert concentrates in various areas of law, including criminal trials and family court matters.

Mausert leverages 20 years of legal experience toward his title as a criminal defense lawyer and 19 years as an “attorney for the child. “ Mr. Mausert has overseen thousands of criminal, vehicle, and traffic cases, from speeding tickets and drunk driving charges to assault and murder. As an attorney for the child, Mr. Mausert works as an advocate for the child rather than for their interests from a neutral position. Kurt Mausert has represented children in both Saratoga County and Warren County in every kind of case that comes before the Family Court. Mr. Mausert also represents adult litigants in custody, visitation, and support matters.

Apart from his professional resume and volunteer efforts, Kurt Mausert has served as President of Care for Vrindavan’s (Food for Life Vrindavan) US Chapter for the past three years. Care for Vrindavan is a foundation that collects aid to provide food, clothing, medicine, and education to impoverished students in two schools in rural India. Kurt and his wife sponsor nine children from the Indian schools. In addition to his work with Care for Vrindavan, Mausert lends his time and energy toward coaching the Chess Club at Schuylerville Middle School.

Kurt Mausert received his undergraduate education at the Sage College of Albany and the State University of New York, where he earned an A.A.S. in Fine Arts and B.S. in Liberal Studies, respectively. Mausert later attended the Franklin Pierce Law Center, where he received his Juris Doctorate. While attending law school Mausert worked for Comico and Gladstone Comics. In the 1980s Mausert worked as a freelance comic book colorist. Kurt Mausert also earned special training from the Lethal Force Institute.

Dedicated to his craft, Mr. Mausert remains an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the NY State Defenders Association, the NY State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Kurt Mausert resides in Schuylerville, New York. He is happily married to his wife Beth Mausert and is the proud father of four children.
