Student24, New York, New YorkBorn in 1988, Laith Salma grew up in Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia. He’s the son of a wealthy businessman, currently working in the oil industry. Salma is a young man who consistently distinguishes himself in academia, and continues to perform well. Salma, growing up, displayed a knack for absorbing information from an early age. He displayed an aptitude for understanding things quickly, even if they were explained to him only once. Furthermore, he displayed a love of reading, and was able to get through his textbooks remarkably easily. There wasn’t a subject, whether it was math or history or the Koran that didn’t come to him like flying comes to a bird. Eventually, he grew bored with his studies. Not in the way that most children grow bored – there was literally no challenge left in what he was doing. His father decided to pull him out of school, and began to see to private tutoring for his son. Once again, he excelled, and beyond any reasonable expectations, graduating with the equivalent of a high school diploma at an age where most people are barely making it into high school. It would be normal to assume that his parents wouldn’t want him to go away somewhere, but the truth was that Salma was remarkably mature even then. He craved more challenge, and he saw the college experience as a perfect opportunity. Of all the places he could have gone to study, he saw the American colleges as the best place to be, and that is how he came to be studying in New York. He’s been taking his time about his studies since then. He enjoys the challenge, and he enjoys the chance to keep going on. Once things turn around, he’ll graduate and find the job he wants. |
