Prepared by Landers Toyota
One of the top 50 Toyota retailers in the United States, Landers Toyota offers its Little Rock, Arkansas, customers access to a full range of new and pre-owned vehicle models, including exceptional performance models Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Tundra trucks. The Tacoma has been the best-selling compact pickup truck in the United States for six years running, and it shows in Toyota’s commitment to the model. Toyota is expanding the Tacoma’s core features at a time when other manufacturers are cutting back their compact truck offerings.
As of 2011, all regular cab Tacoma models will feature full air conditioning, and double cab models will offer the Convenience Extra Value Package of sliding rear window with privacy glass, cruise control, and remote keyless entry. Reorienting the model, Toyota has dropped several low-volume models in favor of four-cylinder model variants that add high fuel-economy features. Additionally, the new Electronic Throttle Control System boosts performance, enhancing fuel economy.
For diehard pickup fans, Toyota has added TJX and TJX Pro packages, which enhance the existing Off-Road Package features with Toyota Racing Development (TRD) accessories. The TJX packages build on standard TRD off-road features that include advanced shocks, active traction control, Hill-Start Assist Control, and Downhill Assist Control. Both TJX packages offer additions such as 16-inch TRD beadlock wheels with BFGoodrich Rugged Trail tires and stainless steel exhaust. The TJX Pro adds a TRD performance exhaust kit, making the Tacoma one of the most capable off-road vehicles on the market.
For those in search of pure performance, the Toyota Tacoma X-Runner is unique in its class, offering 0-to-60 mph acceleration in less than seven seconds. Just as importantly, lateral acceleration of over 0.9g puts the X-Runner at a level comparable to many performance cars.
All Tacoma models benefit from Toyota’s commitment to safety and come equipped with the Toyota Star Safety System. Also included is Automatic Limited-Slip Differential, which reduces rear-wheel slippage through brake intervention.
