From an early age, Larry Creel, Partner at Edgewood Management LLC, showed an interest and proficiency in business and finance. As an undergraduate at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois, Larry Creel pursued studies in economics and business management, graduating with a B.A. in Business in May 1985. Shortly after graduation, Larry Creel gained a position at major New York City investment banking firm Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he would spend the next 11 years working in various capacities of company operations. Moving up the ranks at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Larry Creel made his foray into executive management as Vice President of the firm’s Equities Division. During his time at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Larry Creel also completed graduate coursework at the New York University Stern School of Business. In January 1997, Larry Creel left Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette to join Edgewood Management LLC in New York City. Specializing in company research and portfolio management, Larry Creel performs additional duties as a member of Edgewood Management’s Investment Committee. In this role, Larry Creel upholds the philosophy and values of Edgewood Management LLC and maintains a strong commitment to seek out and invest in companies with demonstrated earnings growth, effective management, and profitability.
