Andrew “Pike” Piekalkiewicz has been a lawyer in private practice specializing in trial work since graduating from law school at the University of Texas School of Law in 1993.  Throughout his years of practicing law, he has successfully represented injured people and those accused of serious crimes.  He has tried numerous car wreck cases, personal injury, general civil and serious criminal cases as sole counsel to juries in state and federal court.  He has owned and managed a high volume practice in Houston, Texas.

Lawyer Andrew Piekalkiewicz is a proven fighter both on the actual infantry combat battlefield and in the courtroom.  In 2009, Mr. Piekalkiewicz volunteered for a combat deployment to Afghanistan.  In a command position with a National Guard unit mentoring Afghan National Police, he fought alongside Afghan and French forces to defeat and bar anti-government Taliban forces operating in the Tagab Valley, Kapisa Province.  After combat operations were suspended in that province, he was transferred to Nangahar Province.  Mr. Piekalkiewicz received several decorations for his service while deployed and continues to remain active in the National Guard.  He is a certified “Green Beret” having earned the coveted Special Forces qualification badge. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lone Star Veterans Association, and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans Association.

Prior to deploying to Afghanistan, Attorney Piekalkiewicz practiced law in Lawrence and Kansas City, Kansas representing clients in serious felony cases and injured people involved in serious car wrecks.  While practicing in Kansas, he also represented the medium size city of El Dorado as the municipal civil city attorney.  In that role he provided legal advice and consultation to the city manager, finance director and city commission members as well as representing the city in contract negotiations with various government and private entities and was litigation counsel for the city in state court.  Mr. Piekalkiewicz also represented Missouri clients.

After returning from deployment, Mr. Piekalkiewicz re-opened his law practice in Houston, Texas.  He has returned to representing seriously injured people, business owners involved in various disputes, and select clients accused of serious crimes.  He is licensed by the Texas Supreme Court to practice in all state courts.  His commitment to fighting for the rights of his clients is unparallel.  Although many lawyers claim that they are tough fighters, rapid dogs, or "hammers" none can back it up with the real life experience of Andrew "Pike" Piekalkiewicz
