Layne Gerstel has served in the financial services industry for over 13 years, moving fluidly from a young post-graduate broker to a savvy firm owner. Layne Gerstel began his professional climb through finance working with various brokerage firms, such as Olde Discount Stockbrokers, First Union, and Merrill Lynch, and eventual grew to own several of his own firms. After conquering his goals in the financial market, Layne Gerstel began exploring new opportunities in other industries. Layne Gerstel branched into the mortgage world as Director of Operations for Aapex Mortgage Services. In his service with Aapex, Layne Gerstel managed an integrated call center staffed with over 30 mortgage specialists. Layne Gerstel applied his financial experience and discipline to help develop the call center from its initial concept to a functioning entity. Layne Gerstel also lead training efforts, generating training manuals and modules while successfully growing the sales team six-fold. In addition to his professional efforts, Layne Gerstel is a dedicated philanthropist who actively supports the Dana G. Smith Fund and Livestrong Lance Armstrong. Layne Gerstel remains active in his professional community through membership in the Buckhead Club. Between his charitable contributions and career aspirations, Layne Gerstel makes sure to spend ample time with his three children. In his spare time, Layne Gerstel enjoys boating and fishing and is an avid fan of Florida State Athletics.
