As an Academic Enhancement Coordinator at Toorak College in Australia, Liana Gooch collaborates with other educators to develop and implement programs and initiatives to increase the academic performance of all students. From coordinating the extension opportunities available to individual students to deepening their engagement in university enhancement programs, Liana Gooch remains a strong asset to the learning community at Toorak College. Over the last three years, Liana Gooch has introduced Academic Endeavor Awards at Toorak to recognize students’ application of vital learning attitudes and skills. Liana Gooch also assisted in the introduction of studies skills assessments and programs. Moreover, Liana Gooch participated in the creation of attributes to acknowledge the characteristics that students should seek to acquire as they learn. In addition to her work as Academic Enhancement Coordinator, Liana Gooch also teaches both humanities and international studies. Liana Gooch received her Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Canterbury and her Diploma of Teaching from Christchurch College of Education, both in Christchurch, New Zealand. To remain up-to-date with developments in her field, Liana Gooch participates in the Future of Education and Classroom 2.0. In her spare time, Liana Gooch pursues a variety of personal interests, including Pilates and other forms of exercise. Liana Gooch takes great pleasure in reading, and she cites The Bronze Horseman, Three Cups of Tea, and Atonement as her favorite books.
