An active member of her Philadelphia, Pennsylvania community, Lois Bruckno remains committed to numerous nonprofit groups.
Lois Bruckno devotes much of her free time to health-related causes and charities, coordinating fundraisers for the American Heart Association and participating in walk-a-thons. Lois Bruckno received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Temple University in 1976. In 1990, Lois Bruckno further pursued her education at Arcadia University, where she received a Master of Science in Health Education in 1993. Later that year, Lois Bruckno was nominated for the Celebration of Excellence Award. Today, Lois Bruckno teaches physical education at J. H. Taggart Elementary School, where she encourages peer communication between students as a Co-Coordinator of the bullying prevention program sponsored by the Citizens in Action Society. In her free time, Lois Bruckno serves as a recreational umpire with the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) and regularly supports the Save the Earth Foundation.
