After graduating in 1977, Maher Ishak relocated to the United States, where he accepted a position at Rite Aid Pharmacy in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, in 1986. As a Staff Pharmacist at Grand Union Pharmacy in Monroe, New York, Maher Ishak oversaw inventory control and performed patient counseling.
