CEO Major Hammett and the staff at Education Funding Group, LLC proudly support several nationwide education initiatives.
The son of a public school teacher and husband of a former teacher and assistant principal, Major Hammett has dedicated his career to connecting public schools with funding programs. The CEO of Education Funding Group, Major Hammett possesses long experience in creating custom campaigns allowing schools to enrich their students’ lives and maintain the highest educational standards. Stressing that educators should teach, not spend their little free time fundraising, Major Hammett brings week-long initiatives into schools that do not disrupt classes or distract students from learning. Community members are encouraged to purchase high-value discount cards for entertainment and dining venues in their area, turning their own savings into funds for their children’s educations. In addition to assisting schools, students, and families, Major Hammett’s programs at Education Funding Group provide major exposure as well as increased revenues for local businesses. The discount cards offered by Education Funding Group draw in patrons and allow companies to demonstrate their support for their communities. Major Hammett has organized a number of nationwide conferences for school districts interested in working with Education Funding Group. The company has participated in mutually beneficial relationships with the National School Foundation Association and the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals. Over the past decade and a half, Major Hammett has provided school foundations with more than $22 million, and school districts in Missouri and Kansas have returned letters of appreciation for Education Funding Group’s service.

Woods Chapel United Methodist Church, Major Hammett
September, 2010
I am a proud member of Woods Chapel United Methodist Church, located in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. My family and I are pleased to have found a community in which to practice our faith and contribute positively to the local and global community. Woods Chapel United Methodist Church has instituted some extremely beneficial programs that effect significant charitable assistance for people in need. The Guatemala School Construction Mission Trips are just one example of the important work of Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. Recognizing that Guatemala is one of the most impoverished countries in the world, our church established a project to build new schools for neighborhoods and districts in most need. Starting in 2007, Woods Chapel Church has organized 10-day mission trips to Guatemala. During these 10 days, our church members supply critical resources to the communities they visit, including new pipelines for clean water and medical and dental clinics. The mission trips are also great opportunities to learn about Mayan culture and explore the beautiful Lake Atitlan. In addition to coordinating trips to Guatemala, Woods Chapel United Methodist Church also sends mission teams to Russia, Jamaica, Uganda, and Mozambique. Woods Chapel United Methodist Church acknowledges many communities in our own country also need our help. As part of its local mission initiatives, Woods Chapel United Methodist Church oversees ministries that provide food for underserved populations, raise money for soup kitchens and shelters, and work with at-risk youth. As a member of the Woods Chapel United Methodist Church, I have ample opportunities to volunteer in our community and give back in a meaningful way. If you live in the Lee’s Summit area, I highly recommend finding a way to volunteer with our church to see if it could be the religious community for you.
