With over 25 years of experience as a psychologist and educational consultant, Dr. Manny Gerton provides guidance and support to aspiring college students and their families as they confront the challenges of college selection and application. At College Assessment and Planning, Dr. Manny Gerton works on behalf of a wide variety of students who present with academic histories impacted by learning disabilities and ADHD as well as students who have pursued GT, AP, and honors curriculum. Following a comprehensive evaluation of a student’s aspirations as well as their academic and developmental history, a step-by-step plan is mutually developed to guide the student and their family through the often complex process of college choice. Dr. Manny Gerton has offered services to meet the varying needs of his clients. These include one-time consultations, last-minute interventions, and comprehensive long-term assistance. In addition to college consulting, Dr. Manny Gerton also provides psychoeducational assessment services for high school, undergraduate, graduate, and professional school students seeking academic accommodations on standardized tests. A thorough evaluation is completed and a full report is provided to the student with specific recommendations in support of their request. When not engaged in professional activities, Dr. Manny Gerton supports the efforts of the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, and the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
