Marcel Mukerjee currently works for LG Electronics as a National Sales Manager for the HE Division.Toronto, CanadaMarcel Mukerjee laid the foundation for his career in sales as a Marketing and Business Administration student at Algonquin College of Applied Arts & Technology in Ontario. After procuring several years of experience in retail sales and management under his belt, he joined Trends Electronics International Inc. in 1997, a Vancouver-based electronics distributor, as an Independent Sales Agent in Eastern Ontario and Montreal. After successfully improving the market for the company’s line of car audio equipment, Marcel Mukerjee joined Smarketing in 2002. As General Manager, he created a sales strategy for the distribution of German-manufactured consumer electronics from the ground up. Mr. Mukerjee hired and trained a sales team, managed a warehouse facility, and established inventory and forecasting metrics to help facilitate the sales and imports of goods from Germany. In 2004, Marcel Mukerjee was hired as National Sales Director for Audio Products International, a company that designed and produced loudspeaker equipment. For the next year, he led sales and managed forecasts for the company’s entire line of equipment, including products from Mirage, Energy, and Athena. In 2005, he joined D&M Holdings Canada, a part of the Japanese multinational D&M Holdings Inc., as its National Sales Director. Over the next six years, Marcel Mukerjee would initiate a number of sales and marketing strategies to grow the company’s revenue across several consumer electronic brands, including Boston Acoustics, Inc., and Marantz. Marcel Mukerjee successfully targeted the big-box electronic retailers Best Buy and Future Shop and secured them both as distribution clients for Boston Acoustic products. He was also in charge of leading a team of 12 sales representatives in the Canadian market and had up to $8 million in profit and loss responsibility. As National Sales Director, Marcel Mukerjee helped achieve growth in both revenue and profits across several brands, and successfully engaged an aggressive sales strategy to keep up with the company’s growth forecasts.
