He subsequently became a Clinical Instructor of Surgery in 1981. Several years into his medical career, Marcelo Kuperschmit, M.D., developed an interest in laparoscopic surgery. The procedure consists of the use of a small camera device to perform certain surgical procedures more accurately and with fewer incisions.
