Mark joined the University of Birmingham in October 2006. Since then he has been working on ongoing trials in breast cancer and setting up new trials in supportive care for cancer patients. A focus he is developing is the routine incorporation of patients’ views at the design stage of new studies.

Mark was introduced to his interest in cancer working for the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme where he spent two years conducting a variety of short projects. Before that, Mark read Biological Natural Sciences at Robinson College Cambridge.
