Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio recently nominated Mark Spinks as a Commissioner of the Ahwatukee Foothills Village Planning Committee, a division of the Phoenix Planning and Zoning Commission. Spinks was then appointed to the committee by the mayor. As a member of the Republican party and Chairman of the Arizona Liberty Project, Mark Spinks works with the Republican party on local and federal candidate recognition and voting initiatives. Mr. Spinks and members of the Arizona Liberty Project reached out to more than 13,500 residences in the Ahwatukee area during the 2010 election cycle. Spinks is currently working on a statewide “get out the vote” campaign for the 2012 elections that involves over 50 groups and organizations within the Republican party and the Tea Party. Mark Spinks helped after Hurricane Katrina by pairing rental home investors with churches, nonprofits, investors, and local grocery stores to provide new homes, furniture, food, and jobs to multiple families who lost everything during the storm and flooding.
