Marta Rauch is an information developer at Oracle Corporation. Her experience includes leading teams, project planning, information architecture, and developing user assistance for a variety of products and technologies. Throughout her career, Marta Rauch’s various roles have called for technical knowledge of Arbortext Editor, XML, HTML, and mobile technology.

Named one of the 400 most influential people worldwide in technical communication and content strategy in 2011, Marta Rauch is the recipient of 15 national and international awards from the Society for Technical Communication and has published articles in several professional journals. A popular presenter, she has been invited to speak at conferences throughout the U.S. and internationally, including LavaCon, STC Summit, Content Management Strategies/DITA, Intelligent Content, WritersUA, and IEEE PCS, and has given several webinars for the Society for Technical Communication.

In her current role, Marta Rauch works for Oracle Corporation in Santa Clara, California, where she leads the Planning ID team, drives innovations to increase revenue, reduces costs, improves customer satisfaction, and provides single-source deliverables for the firm’s international audience. Additional projects include implementing social media tools for documentation, developing guidelines for online forums, measuring site traffic with web analytics, and delivering user assistance for mobile devices such as Kindles, smartphones, tablets, and iPads. Prior to joining Oracle, Marta Rauch served as a principal information developer at Hyperion Solutions, where she converted content to XML, implemented word reduction to save time and costs, developed user assistance for client-server software, and won the corporate Grab an Oar Award.

Marta Rauch earned her Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University, where she graduated cum laude and earned the School of Humanities Award. She holds a Certificate in Managing the Development of Technical Information from the University of California Extension, a teaching credential for high school English, and a certificate in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). Marta Rauch belongs to the Society for Technical Communication (STC), the Stanford Alumni Association, the IEEE Professional Communication Society, and the Center for Information-Development Management.

During her spare time, Marta Rauch enjoys exploring gamification, social media, robotics, and technology.
