Mary Brosmith lives in Massachusetts and contributes as a Merchandising Representative for Lawrence Merchandising Firm.An alumna of St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, Mary Brosmith has offered her managerial skills, creativity, and financial acumen in a variety of positions. Immediately after college, Mary Brosmith accepted employment with Massachusetts Financial Services Company (now MFS Investment Management), a firm she remained with for more than 10 years in 4 different roles. Back in 1924, MFS established the first publicly accessible mutual fund, providing average Americans access to the stock market, and the firm has since grown to offer an array of investment strategies. During her tenure with the company, Mary Brosmith concentrated on MFS’ retirement plans, maintaining responsibility for answering clients’ questions, promoting the sales of mutual funds and annuities within the IRAs, developing marketing approaches, and designing new program features. Relocating to New York City, Mary Brosmith accepted a position as an Assistant Vice President for Product Development with Salomon Smith Barney (now Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC). In this capacity, she managed 401(k) programs and products, qualifying prospective corporate clients, and helping them with plan designs and compliance. Drawing on previous marketing experience, Mary Brosmith also created and promoted 401(k) products and enhancements. For her next venture, Mary Brosmith moved to Chicago, Illinois, serving Guardian Life Insurance Company of America as a Pension Marketing Representative. Continuing to work with 401(k)s, Mary Brosmith organized and led enrollment meetings in five states, customizing presentations as necessary to suit the needs of the clientele. Now living in Massachusetts, she takes advantage of the various seasons by skiing and running. Mary Brosmith stays involved with the community as a Member of Saint Linus Parish.
