Active and outgoing, Mary Felicia Spencer is an excellent communicator with noteworthy expertise in publishing and public relations work.
A recent graduate of Clemson University, Mary Felicia Spencer’s diverse personal and professional achievements began in Owings Mills, Maryland, during her time at Garrison Forest School, where she was a captain of the soccer team and the cross-country team. During high school, Mary Felicia Spencer also interned for South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham. As a member of Senator Lindsey Graham’s team, Mary Felicia Spencer gave guided tours of the Capitol Building and the Senate chambers and answered letters, providing Senator Graham’s constituents with excellent service. In 2004, Mary Felicia Spencer enrolled at Clemson, where she went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, focusing on Writing and Publications Studies. Mary Felicia Spencer also earned a minor in Travel and Tourism Studies. During her time at Clemson, Mary Felicia Spencer dedicated herself to a number of activities, including sailing. Mary Felicia Spencer participated in Alpha Chi Omega sorority and Clemson University Ducks Unlimited. During college, Mary Felicia Spencer accumulated work experience in the publications industry by working as an Executive Assistant to the Editor at Skirt! Magazine. Mary Felicia Spencer authored a featured blog for Skirt!’s website, wrote profiles of local figures, and interviewed contributors to the magazine. After graduating from Clemson, Mary Felicia Spencer interned with AT&T Tennessee, where she was responsible for proofreading press releases, researching legislators, and compiling press documents for legislative portfolios. Mary Felicia Spencer now makes her home in Florence, South Carolina. In her free time, Mary Felicia Spencer enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, and adventure travel and speaks Spanish fluently. An avid reader, Mary Felicia Spencer lists Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald among her favorite authors. Mary Felicia Spencer supports the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and helped raise money for Safe Harbor, an organization providing shelter, legal advocacy, and counseling for victims of domestic violence.
