Matthew Beebe’s work as a designer and project manager spans more than 10 years of creating innovative product experiences across multiple platforms. In addition to his ability to execute design projects, Beebe possesses strong leadership skills and experience in guiding multidisciplinary teams on large-scale tasks. His creative approach to design is collaborative and user-focused.

Matthew Beebe attended the University of Cincinnati and studied graphic design before pursuing his Master of Design from Illinois Institute of Technology’s (IIT) Institute of Design in Chicago. For his final project at IIT, Beebe created ViaChicago, an innovative incentive-based system to reduce traffic congestion in the Chicago area.

Throughout his career, Matthew Beebe has designed graphics, user interfaces, and mobile applications. In his work with Karen Lewis Design Inc. from 1998 to 1999, Beebe designed a system of maps for Boston Logan International Airport. He went on to fill several roles at Palo Alto, California-based design firm IDEO. While at IDEO from 2001 to 2008, Beebe worked closely with the Transformation practice, through which he educated clients on design methods. His responsibilities at IDEO included design strategy, design research, and interaction design. Matthew Beebe later accepted a leadership role at IDEO, supervising a team of 30 people. In this capacity, he coached new employees and shared the responsibility for the success of the team.

In 2008, Beebe joined Palm, Inc., taking the lead in the developing platforms for the Palm Pre and WebOS. He left in late 2009 to take a position as Principal Designer at Rockmelt, Inc., holding responsibility for the overall user experience of the company’s browser product.

Matthew Beebe currently works at Reputation.com, Inc., as Director of User Experience, a position he accepted in July of 2011. He resides in Redwood City, California.
