Sales Associate at All Factory WheelsRockville Centre, New YorkFor Matthew Madacsi, athletics have always played an important role in his life. A substantial part of his youth was spent engaged in playing on the field or being enthralled as a spectator of sports. During his school years, Matthew Madacsi was active in athletic endeavors and followed local sports teams. He fondly recalls memories of his father accompanying him to watch the professional squads of New York, including the Mets, Yankees, and Jets. Indeed, Matthew Madacsi attributes his passion for sports to his relationship with his late father, who passed away in 2003. The recent graduate of Fordham University also believes that the success he has enjoyed is the result of that relationship and the healing process that followed his father’s demise. An active community participant and father of four, Matthew Madacsi’s father, Pierre Madacsi, was idolized by his eldest son. Matthew wanted to not only share his father’s enthusiasm for sports but also to emulate the way his father carried himself in the community. Pierre Madacsi was on the board of trustees for their town’s little leagues program and also coached a team. Today, Matthew Madacsi is reminded about his father’s good nature by neighbors who are involved in the league. Many of those in the community comment on his father’s kindness and fairness when he was working with the area’s youth. Matthew Madacsi excelled in athletic endeavors throughout his childhood and continued to pursue them upon his entrance into the private, all-male Chaminade High School in 2003. His father’s passing a few weeks prior to his enrollment caused a considerable amount of emotional anguish as he started high school. Matthew Madacsi would use his athletic abilities to cope and heal from the sad event. The physical nature of football gave the freshman an outlet to release the aggression he was dealing with, while new friendships with teammates offered him emotional support. Matthew Madacsi’s time in high school was successful both athletically and academically. He played football during the four year period when he attended Chaminade. He also played lacrosse for three years at the school. He was then accepted into Fordham University, the Jesuit University of New York, where he graduated from the Gabelli School of Business in 2011.
