Cognitive Scientist and Accomplished Violinist

Maya Shankar is a 2007 Rhodes Scholar, specializing in multi-sensory processing.. In addition to her research in psychology, language, visual perception and cognition, Maya is an accomplished violinist and has worked under and performed with Itzhak Perlman at Carnegie Hall and has soloed with many orchestras in the US and abroad. She will be reading for a DPhil at Oxford and received the honor of Glamour’s Top 10 College Women in 2006.
