Michael Massicott started his communications and marketing career at the University of Georgia in Athens. He graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications and started working for Collegiate Concepts, Inc., in 1989. Mike Massicott spent over three years working for Collegiate Concepts in marketing and advertising, serving as a salesperson for college and military publications. Michael Massicott worked in an AT&T Professional Development Center in 1993 as a consultant in education management before joining Pentagon Publishing, Inc., in 1996. Today, Michael Massicott still works at Pentagon Publishing and currently serves as their Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Over the past 15 years, he has honed his ability to effectively communicate and define marketing strategies for his clients. Mike Massicott is responsible for researching and acquiring prospective clients and building a solid business relationship with them. As the leading performer on the sales team, Michael Massicott is also responsible for training new sales staff. Throughout his career, Michael Massicott has seen numerous changes within the publishing industry, and he has led his department’s adaptation from traditional media to online properties. Most of his clients target their ad sales within alumni journals and publications, and Mike Massicott has a special understanding of how to identify a relationship between a business and academia. On the client side, he has extensive experience selling ad space for companies such as The Boeing Company, General Dynamics Corporation, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Raytheon Company, and Sandia National Laboratories. Michael Massicott also works on the publication side, and he helps identify business ad space in engineering journals and college annuals for a variety of well-known institutions, such as the United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, United States Coast Guard Academy and other service academics, as well as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Virginia Tech, Yale University, Columbia University.
