A prominent figure in television, Michael Teilmann has won widespread recognition for his work, including four Emmy nominations. Teilmann has over four decades of expertise in television production and has produced a number of popular biographic films. As the head of the production Hollywood Remembers Marilyn, he supervised all aspects of the documentary tribute to one of America’s favorite stars. Michael Teilmann has also led the production of numerous specials for A&E, including biopics on Steve Allen, Bing Crosby, Gene Autry, Milton Berle, Humphrey Bogart, and Jayne Mansfield. Outside of his achievements in television, Teilmann also has a long history in military programming.

As Executive Director of the Bob Hope Hollywood USO at LAX, Michael Teilmann has produced and directed many events, including The Bob Hope Celebrity Gala and a live Bob Hope/Hollywood USO Show broadcast from Las Vegas, Nevada. He also served as a writer and producer on the US Department of Defense/USO Armed Forces Salute to Hollywood show. He is deeply connected to the military as a veteran and administrator. A graduate of the Basic and Advanced Course of the United States Army Institute of Administration, Teilmann completed six years of full-time state active duty with the California Army National Guard, concluding his assignment as Chief of Public Affairs. He transferred to Sixth Army Headquarters at the Presidio of San Francisco. His duties for the next five years included serving as Chief of Media Relations and Chief, Field Liaison at this major active army headquarters. He next served in the U.S. Army Reserve in a variety of command and staff positions. Teilmann transferred to the California State Defense Force in 1996 and served as Commander of the 40th Infantry Division Support Brigade at the Los Alamitos Armed Force Reserve Center in Southern California. He received a state promotion to Brigadier General and retired from the state guard in 2001.

Michael Teilmann studied at the University of California, Berkeley, and in the United Kingdom, receiving a degree in journalism. He also holds an honorary PhD in Information Technology and Management from the International Academy for Integration of Science and Business in Moscow.
