Michael G. Velasco began his business career in 1979 with his education at New York City’s Pace University. Attending the Lubin School of Business and the Pleasantville Briarcliff campus, Michael G. Velasco graduated cum laude as a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. Fresh out of school, Michael G. Velasco joined accounting firm Ernst & Young in 1983, where he worked in the Financial Services department as a Senior Accountant. Michael G. Velasco’s clients there included several major accounts, including Alliance Capital, Philippine National Bank, and Bank of America. After five years at Ernst & Young, Michael G. Velasco joined Shearson Lehman Brothers, where he was voted 1988’s number-one trainee. As one of the company’s top five percent producers, Michael G. Velasco quickly moved to the position of Senior Vice President in the investment sector.

In 1993, Michael G. Velasco moved to the equity division of wealth management firm UBS Investment Bank as an institutional and high net worth salesman. After seven years at UBS, Michael G. Velasco had been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Investments and originated over $2 billion in derivative transactions. Joining Deutsche Bank Securities in 2000, Michael G. Velasco again earned a place in the top five percent of the company’s sales department. In his work as a managing director at this company, Michael G. Velasco provided high net worth corporations with advice on hedge fund management.

In 2009 Michael G. Velasco began work as a client engagement manager at Evalueserve Inc., a global firm specializing in Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO). Ranked 14th in the Deloitte Fast 500 APAC Awards, Evalueserve Inc. provides services such as legal process and intellectual property research to Fortune 1000 companies, and Michael G. Velasco’s employment at the company included work as a broker and senior salesman to these clients. Today, Michael G. Velasco continues his work in sales in the insurance industry at New York City’s New Gate Insurance LLC.
