After high school, Michael Voulgarelis enrolled at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he completed coursework in Business Administration and International Relations. Relocating to Columbia, South Carolina at the end of this period, Michael Voulgarelis secured a position as Sales Manager for Wachovia Bank. In this capacity, Michael Voulgarelis laid strong foundations for a career in sales and held responsibility for Wachovia Bank’s credit card telemarketing efforts. From June 1995 to September 1997, Michael Voulgarelis handled both predictive and manual dialer campaigns and surpassed annual sales goals by 75 percent for Wachovia Bank. Based on his performance at Wachovia Bank, Michael Voulgarelis landed a role at Bank of America in Charlotte, North Carolina, as Assistant Vice President and Small Business Sales Manager. For the next three years, Michael Voulgarelis was responsible for the start up and ongoing leadership of telephone and Internet sales for Bank of America’s Small Business customers. During this time, Michael Voulgarelis managed a budget of $1.5 million, exceeded loan quotas and deposit goals by wide margins, and provided training and recruitment for bankers and fulfillment staff alike. In Jun 2000, Michael Voulgarelis earned promotion to Vice President and Unit Manager of the Bank of America Call Center in Tampa, Florida. With an unwavering focus on sales growth, Michael Voulgarelis improved annual revenues by 600 percent and achieved high internal rankings for his division. Following his time in Tampa, Michael Voulgarelis became Senior Vice President of Call Center Operations in Concord, California, and later, Senior Vice President and Regional Executive at Bank of America in Port Richey, Florida. Michael Voulgarelis has developed a reputation for delivering balanced results across sales, customers satisfaction, employee morale, and cost measures. Today, Michael Voulgarelis serves as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Orizzi, where he has built an innovative text-message marketing tool.
