His areas of expertise are organizational design, leadership team development, executive onboarding, transition management, and organizational assessment. Michel has deep expertise in research design and management; he has lead many best practices projects and is intimately familiar with leading benchmarking efforts such as the Baldridge Awards, the Best Places to Work, and the Employer of Choice. Before joining Fisher Rock Consulting, Michel was a Partner at Oliver Wyman and for close to a decade he worked in the areas of organizational design, team and board effectiveness, executive talent management, and organizational assessment. Over the course of his tenure at Oliver Wyman, he has worked with over fifty different organizations, many of which were Global Fortune 1000. Michel has led numerous survey and benchmarking research efforts. In 2005 and 2006, he partnered with the National Association of Corporate Directors to redesign their annual membership survey and Best Practices Report. Michel has also led a number of internal management processes including market intelligence research in the context of the firm’s strategic planning processes. Michel was held as a subject matter expert on organizational dashboards and change metrics. Michel was a contributor to Relationships That Enable Enterprise Change: Leveraging the Client Consultant Connection (San Francisco: Jossey-Bass/Pfeiffer, 2002). His most recent article on executive onboarding appeared in the October 2007 issue of Talent Management. He has presented his work in organizational transformation and leadership at several professional forums. He’s currently working on a book about Social Networking applications for Talent Management. Michel holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and a DESS in Social Clinical Psychology from the University of Paris. He is the Founder of the French-Speaking Association of Talent Management Professionals and a member of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the American Psychological Society, and the French-American Chamber of Commerce of New York.
